The Alaskan Dahl Sheep standing. These carvings measure approximately 1 5/8 inches long and stand about 1 7/8 inches tall. The Dahl Sheep are a common sight along the Seward Highway just south of Anchorage. L. Savage carves them from Walrus ivory. Only Alaskan Natives are allowed to work fresh Walrus ivory.
